Current and future trends in PGT-A
In this recorded webinar, we will get insights from experts in the field of Preimplantation Genetic Testing for Aneuploidy in assisted reproduction. Our presenters will share retrospective data from PGT-A in highly successful programs, synergistic technologies to improve outcomes, and the future applications currently being investigated in research programs.
This live webinar was held in May 2020.
Introduction, Dr. Sally Cartwright PhD, Vitrolife.
Dr. Sally Cartwright has a PhD Genetics and has worked in the US, Germany and now is in Cambridge, UK. Sally joined Vitrolife at the beginning of 2019 and before that was at Illumina and BlueGnome. Sally has significant experience in managing products in the market and taking news ones through development and onto commercialisation. This includes both VeriSeq PGS and Karyomapping.
Recognizing and Managing the Challanges of Mosaicism, Dr. Carles Giménez PhD, Reprogenetics (Spain)
Dr Carles Giménez has a PhD in Biology Sciences from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He has been working in the field of Preimplantation Genetic Testing since he started his research work back in 1989. In 2008 Dr Giménez obtained the certificate of Senior Embryologist (ESHRE) and in 2010 the certificate of clinical embryologist of ASEBIR, genetic advisor (Universitat Pompeu Fabra, 2009) and accredited geneticist (AEGH, 2015). He is one of the pioneers of PGT and was part of the team that achieved the first pregnancies at term after PGT in Spain.
Time-lapse and Preimplantation Genetic Testing, Dr. Cristina Hickman, Imperial College London (United Kingdom)
Dr. Cristina Hickman has over 15 years of research and clinical embryology experience, with wide international experience in embryology, andrology, state-of-the-art IVF techniques. She has designed and seen to completion innovative new IVF laboratories in the Middle East, the Caribbean and the UK. She has developed her research skills as a member of scientific teams in the USA, Ireland, England, Scotland and the Caribbean.

Dr Svetlana Madjunkova is head of the Department of Reproductive Genetics at CReATe Fertility Centre, Toronto, Canada. She holds an MD degree with honors and MSc and PhD in reproductive genetics with focus on pregnancy loss and, invasive and non-invasive prenatal diagnosis of chromosomal abnormalities, inherited disorders and blood group incompatibilities. Her interest is in the development of novel technologies for non-invasive and comprehensive multi-omic assessment of embryos and fetuses and well as in the parental genetic and epigenetic contribution to developing embryo, fetus and offspring.
